▪︎ABOUT
Most wedding cloth were embroidered on old indigos previously owned by close member of family and given to bride on her wedding day. The embroideries were mainly multi coloured in geometric designs, like in this piece.
It was made with narrow strips of indigo cloth, handwoven from hand spun cotton, and then embroidered in the colourful geometric pattern before being joined to form a bigger piece.
It has pretty crochet at one end and a black cotton panel on one side for tying when wrapped around the waist.
**pictures are close representation of the piece however not 100% as some hues like indigos are difficult to capture and also due to different light conditions and viewing screens.
