However, on the other half there are two pairs of birds and all the motifs on this side of the fabric are upside down. The reasoning, this acts as an instructions on which side to wrap first. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhichever pair of birds the wearer chose to show, she\u003cbr\u003ewould make sure that the birds which would be visible were not the ones depicted upside down. Notice a fine diagonal line in the middle of the kain. The cloth has been made in two different design so you get two in one piece. Usually pagi sore kain is made up of two distinctive design and colours, but in this piece the distinction is subtle, only differentiated by the type of flowers as isen isen (small motifs used as background filler).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNotice the bird motifs on one half of the kain are upside down. This is a common feature in kain panjang. It acts as an instruction on wrapping the cloth.
