The Berbers take their inspirations from their life and surroundings. The X and diamond symbol in Berber design represents women. They are the most common symbol used which is not surprising seeing that weaving is usually undertaken by the women of the village.
Both sides, are in different design but have been woven in one piece, which is typical of cushions made for the purpose, and not recycled from old rug. In a mixture of flatweave and knotted pile.
