Being in the mountains, it is only natural for them to be from what is around them, animals, insects, plants and flowers. It can also be of life and fertitility, festivals and celebrations.
Some of these symbols were also tattoo motifs, adorned by the Berber women, a pre Islamic Amazigh rites, believed to be a form of protection and a connection between the human and mystical world.
