This beautiful indigo fabric is from Mali, West Africa.
Suitable as a throw, wall hanging, scarf or shawl.

▪︎Signs of wear and tear with frayed edges, dirt marks, repairs, holes and thinning on some parts of the cloth.

Usually worn as a piece of clothing, wrapped around the body or waist.
It was made with several narrow strips of loosely woven cloth which was then stitched together to form a bigger piece, resisted with ties in the desired pattern, before dying in indigo.
Over the years some parts have been replaced with newer pieces resulting in the beautiful patchwork look with different tones of indigo.
