▪︎ABOUT
The Baule are an Akan people and one of the largest tribe in Ivory Coast, Western Africa, who historically migrated from Ghana. They are traditionally farmers who live in the centre of Ivory Coast.
The wrapper consists of several handwoven narrow ikat strips, and then sewn together to form a bigger single piece.
It is in faded indigo due to wear. As with vintage items there are signs of wear and tear, dirt marks and repair efforts. Please get in touch if you would like more informations regarding this.
**pictures are very close representation of the colours but not 100% due to different light conditions and viewing screens. Please sent me a message if you would like more informations.
