
The Bataks are ethnic groups predominantly found in Northern Sumatra Indonesia. Ulos is the traditional cloth of the Bataks.
Suitable as wall hanging, throw, bed cover, blanket and as a shawl or wrap. Can be used for soft furnishings too. Great for boho and eclectic style interior decor as well as the modern contemporary look.

Different kinds of ulos have different ceremonial significance. They are traditionally hand woven and in the case of higher-quality examples are significant family heirlooms, to be worn at important events, such as funerals, weddings or birth of a child.
This piece is called Ulos Runjat and usually worn as a shawl or wrapped as sarong, during traditional ceremonies.
