Berbers are ethnic groups indigenous to North Africa. This Moroccan cushion cover has been handwoven on a wooden loom by the Berber women in the villages in Atlas mountain.
The striking colour and distinctive geometric pattern is typical of their design. It will make a statement piece in any room, perfect for the boho and eclectic style lover. Suitable too for the modern contemporary interior.
▪︎49cm x 38cm (19.25" x 15")
▪︎Good vintage condition but with some signs of wear and tear like missing tassels and loose threads.
▪︎Cleaned
▪︎Inserts are NOT included. There is only a small opening for fillings which is typical of cover of this sort. The maker will fill it up with bits of cloth or sheep wool and stitched it up.
▪︎ABOUT
The Berbers take their inspirations from their life and surroundings. They can also be from daily rituals, beliefs, customs, plants, animals and festivals and ceremonies.
Both sides are in different designs but have been woven in one piece, which is typical of cushions made for the purpose, and not recycled from old rug.
