A beautiful yellow colour suzani wall hanging from the Surkhandarya region, Uzbekistan.

**as with any vintage items there are little signs of wear and tear and discolourations in lining but otherwise in good vintage condition.

Suzanis were traditionally made by brides and their mothers as part of a dowry, and presented to the groom on his wedding day. They represented the binding together of two families, and were adorned with symbols of luck, health, long life and fertility.
They were used to decorate walls, bed and sitting areas.
This piece is in doiragul design representing life and growth.
