▪︎ABOUT
This sarong has been woven using a technique called buna. It is where colourful threads are being wrapped around the warp between passes of the weft. A piece of garment like this sarong can take months to complete.
The threads have also been handspun and coloured in natural dye which would add to the amount of time needed to make it.
In tokay gecko motif. The sound that gecko make symbolise the arrival of new moon to the Timorese.
