This striking cushion is made from 80's Ewe Kente cloth from Ghana.

•As this was made from vintage textile, there are some markings and stains on the front. Has been washed.

The Ewe Kente cloth was woven in narrow strips in bands of different colours, vertical and horizontal, and then joined to form a bigger piece. There are floats in different forms on some parts of the cloth which can be images of everyday items such as bowls, plates or toothebrush.
