It is in a striking turquoise parang and intricate fan motif.

Pekalongan, where this piece was produced, is famous for their pastel and vivid colours. This was due to the influence of the Chinese who mainly settled at the coastal cities in Java upon their arrival in the early 15th century. The fan motif was also part of that influence.
